Puget Sound Food Hub Cooperative now accepting 2018 Member and Vendor applications

The PSFHC is now accepting new Member and Vendor applications for the 2018 growing season. In addition to meeting general seller eligibility requirements, businesses interested in selling through the PSFHC should align with the Co-op’s mission, values and principles. Applicants should also understand that the PSFHC is a farmer-owned co-op — owned and run by and for our members. Member participation on committees and at meetings is encouraged.

For 2018, priority will be given to applicants operating in the Co-op’s primary 6-county region (Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan, Snohomish, and King counties). For products not available locally, we will consider applications from further afield provided that product can be delivered to our Skagit County warehouse. Primary producers (farmers, orchardists, ranchers, etc.) are eligible to apply as Members. Local businesses wishing to sell value-added products or other products that are a good fit for the Co-op will be considered for Vendor status on a case-by-case basis.

Our core membership is comprised of mixed vegetable farms, and our supply currently exceeds demand for many vegetable crops. Applications from mixed vegetable farms will receive strongest consideration if they can provide new or unique products not supplied by current Members, or if they plan to bring a significant customer base to the Food Hub. We are in the process of hiring a Sales Account Manager, and our goal is to continue to expand sales significantly so that we may serve more mixed vegetable farms in the future.
