We base each week's selection of produce on price and seasonal availability. Boxes tend to be lighter in the spring with greater availability of leafy greens and heavier in the fall and winter when seasonal produce tends to be heavier (e.g. winter squash and root vegetables). We appreciate our customers for supporting local agriculture and eating seasonally!
-
If your pick-up site allows it, please feel free to return your empty box the following week! Break the box down flat so as to save on space. Reusing the cardboard boxes allows us to limit the amount of packaging we use and decreases our environmental footprint. We can’t reuse the liner but it is biodegradable!
-
Visit savethefood.com/storage to see the best storage practices for keeping your produce as fresh and tasty for as long as possible.

Puget Sound Farm Box
Subscriber Agreement
This Subscriber Agreement depicts the terms and conditions of the relationship between Puget Sound Food Hub (PSFH) and the Puget Sound Farm Box Subscriber.
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Shares: The subscriber will receive a share of produce and add-ons of a size and frequency of their choice as specified by the subscriber’s Farmigo account.
Box pickup: Subscribers are responsible for picking up their Puget Sound Farm Box during the pickup window they selected.
Payment: Subscribers will be charged for their Puget Sound Farm Box on a pay-as-you-go schedule. The payment may take a few days after pickup to process and appear on the subscriber’s account.
SUPPORT OF LOCAL FARMS
Farmer support: With their Puget Sound Farm Box subscription, subscribers support local farms that use sustainable growing practices. The cooperative model of PSFH minimizes many of the inherent risks of farming. PSFH practices season planning according to Puget Sound Farm Box subscriptions with producers and sources from a diversity of small- and medium-sized farms to minimize the impacts of crop failure or overabundance.
Last-minute changes: Producers may occasionally need to make last-minute changes in their product deliveries and quantities because of sudden weather changes or other fluctuations. If an item needs to be shorted, PSFH will include an alternate product in the box or issue an account credit for the item.
Seasonal variations: Puget Sound Farm Box is based on a consistent price, but items will vary in content, size, and weight depending on product availability from local producers and availability of specialty items.
UNCLAIMED BOXES
Pickup responsibility: To receive the freshest produce possible from PSFH and our producers, the Farm Box subscriber must pick up their box at their designated pickup window and location.
Unclaimed box policy: It is our policy that any unclaimed boxes are donated after the designated pickup window closes.
Refund policy: PSFH does not offer refunds for unclaimed boxes or coordinate pickup times outside of pickup windows.
SUBSCRIPTION HOLDS + CHANGES
Subscription Holds: If a Puget Sound Farm Box subscriber will be out of town or unable to receive their box, they can place a subscription hold on their account. Subscribers can place temporary holds by logging into their Puget Sound Farm Box account and choosing the Delivery Hold tab or by emailing farmbox@pugetsoundfoodhub.com. Subscribers who place a hold on their account will not be charged during the week of their hold.
Time frame: Subscribers must make all changes to their subscription (add-ons, share sizes, account holds, etc.) six days before delivery, or the changes will not be applied until the following week’s order. This gives PSFH and our producers adequate time to source and harvest the appropriate quantities of local items.
CANCELLATIONS
Account Cancellation: If a subscriber no longer wishes to receive a Puget Sound Farm Box, they may place their account on a permanent hold by logging into their Puget Sound Farm Box account, clicking the Delivery Hold tab, and selecting Permanent Hold Request. Alternatively, the subscriber can email farmbox@pugetsoundfoodhub.com to request cancellation. Subscribers will still be charged for any previous balances.
PSFH account hold: PSFH may cancel or place a subscriber’s account on hold for reasons that include but are not limited to:
failure to pick up their box for four or more weeks in a row,
having an unpaid balance of over $150 and/or two unpaid deliveries,
failure to complete payments for over six distributions,
or harassment of an individual at their pickup location.
PSFH will notify the subscriber of the hold or cancellation via email.
