English Cucumbers, Mama Bird Farm, Friday Harbor, WA: Crisp, cool, and ultra-refreshing, cucumbers are perfect for slicing into salads and sandwiches or making quick pickles. Fun fact: they're technically a fruit!
Cauliflower, Hedlin Farm, Mount Vernon, WA: With its mild, nutty flavor, cauliflower is incredibly versatile. Whether roasted, steamed, or even turned into rice or a creamy mash, it adds a healthy twist to any meal!
Fennel bulb, Ralph’s Greenhouse, Mount Vernon, WA: A farmer’s favorite, this veggie has a very mild anise flavor. Thinly slice the bulb and marinate in a vinaigrette before tossing in a salad, sauté it for a pasta accompaniment, or roast wedges for a side dish. Don’t toss the tops — chop ‘em up for an aromatic garnish!
