Green Curly Kale - Boldly Grown Farm, Bow, WA - With its ruffled leaves and rich flavor, this sturdy kale is great sautéed, tossed into soups, or massaged into a hearty salad.
Cauliflower - Hedlin Farm, La Conner, WA - With its mild, nutty flavor, cauliflower is incredibly versatile. Whether roasted, steamed, or even turned into rice or a creamy mash, it adds a healthy twist to any meal!
Carrots - Ralph’s Greenhouse, Mount Vernon, WA - Crisp, sweet, and full of flavor, these freshly pulled carrots are great for snacking, roasting, or adding a pop of color to your favorite dishes.
Leeks - Ralph’s Greenhouse, Mount Vernon, WA - A milder cousin of onion and garlic, leeks add a sweet, oniony flavor that give depth to any meal. Use them anywhere you’d use alliums, or try them on their own! Save the dark leafy tops for use in homemade stock.
Cherry Tomatoes - Regino Farms, Mount Vernon, WA - Juicy, sweet, and thin-skinned, these little tomatoes get their namesake from the fruit, being the same size and shape.
Poblano peppers - Spring Time Farm, Everson, WA - Poblanos are a mild chili pepper, with a slightly earthy, rich, and sweet taste. Try stuffing them, or using in place of a bell pepper!
Artichoke - The Crows Farm, Mount Vernon, WA - The immature flower bud of a thistle plant, this vegetable is known for having a nutty, earthy flavor. You may know that the heart is edible, but so are the leaves! You can steam, boil, grill, stuff, or braise artichokes. Here’s a great article on how to prepare and eat them.

Quince - Hima Farms, Maltby, WA - Quince is similar in appearance to a pear, but when ripe, it is hard, tart, and astringent. This is a useful page on how to use them. Try them poached for a sweet cinnamon-y fall dessert, or use in savory meals!
